USCIS has completed the H-1B registration process for FY 2026, receiving sufficient electronic registrations to meet the H-1B cap, including the master’s cap. A random selection of beneficiaries was made, and petitioners with selected beneficiaries are now eligible to file H-1B cap-subject petitions.
- Registrants can check their online accounts for their registration status.
- More details are available on the ‘H-1B Electronic Registration Process‘ page.
H-1B cap-subject petitions for FY 2026 can be filed starting April 1, 2025, but only for selected beneficiaries with valid registrations.
-
Petitioners must file these petitions correctly, either at the Designated Location or online via my.uscis.gov, within the filing period specified in the selection notice, which will be at least 90 days.
-
A copy of the selection notice is required with the petition.
-
Petitioners must also provide evidence of the beneficiary’s passport or travel document used during registration.
-
Selection does not guarantee petition approval; petitioners must still demonstrate eligibility.
